Dear Senator John McCain,
LOL. Do you know what that means? It means Laugh Out Loud. In capital letters it means Laugh Out Loud LOUDLY. I'm 57 years old, and I get it, whereas perhaps the inventor of LOL is still to young to even notice a jaded old dinosaur like you.
I got home today (Sat.,Sept. 23) and what do I find in my mailbox? A letter from you, Senator Jonh McCain, Arizona. It starts: "Dear Friend:". That is what I get for regestering as a republican in Maryland. It goes on: "I believe I owe you this letter." This is followed by a four page shill for FUNDS to support the Citizens Against Government Waste (CAWG).
I am starting a new group today: CAGW2. That stands for Citizenzs Against Government Wussies, too, and the wussies who don't know to vote against candidates with money, big money that suckers like them gave away to Big Government Wussies like John McCain.
Let me summarize the letter: Johnnie boy McC spends Lord knows how much on this 4 page direct mail alerting us to Government Waste, and at the end, IN THE LAST TWO PARAGRAPHS, has the unmitigated gall to ask for $25 to $75 OR MORE, so his sponsors can go on fighting what we elected our officials to do: spend our money. If we would only vote for the right men… But the right men really don't want to run. It is just a slime pit in Washington and those who go there get slimed. See Fri. Sept. 23 Balt. Am I alone in my outrage that this folk hero McCain has the nerve to solicit MORE funds to stop the waste of tax funds citizens already pay, and spend millions to compute these taxes, avioding overpayment of them each year? Talk about throwing good money after bad.
And this is the man who may run as a republican for President in 2008? I think he already has halfheimers…
